there is a whole back story i have planned for this character. and like everything else i plan out, it is incredibly long winded. but basicly this is a demon who has become trapped in the realm of my book(s) and has been held prisoner by the faries and pixies of a mystical wood for a thousand years... there is more to it then that, but theres a tiny taste.

originally i had dome a numbre of character studies for my book(s), but frankly, i wasn't happy with any of them except this one. this is Laornar, i won't go into who he is cause there'll be a character study wiki coming shortly..

Jaraden happens to be my favorite character i ever created, he's been with me since i was a kid and has grown with me since. this is a study of him later in the future of my universe, mainly because the sword he carries has not been discovered until much later then my book(s).. so there.

yup, this is another study of Jaraden, but this time in the distant past even before the kingdom of Aultenvique was established.. there's actually a long story behind this image and why an elf would be clothed in such a manner.. but that must be left to another time!

yet another study of my main character Jaraden... having said that in my book(s) he's actually a secondary character, but that's besides the point.. i wanted to do a study of Jaraden's dragon scale armour, which like everything else has a lengthy back story.. what a surprise. anyhow i think it turned out well and once i colour it you'll notice the pulsating fire eminating from his left hand.. incase you were wondering why there is only half of him... or maybe not..

just like the LOTRs one of my main fiendish creatures are orcs, so i thought i'd do a study of them, and now that i think of it, i should be doing more of them, this one is ancient! anyhow, hope you like it! go go monsters!

another of deadly races is the Ogre, much larger then it's cousin the Orc and though not as intelegent is far more vicious. like the orc i desided to do a study of them, and like the previous picture i now realsie i should rejuvinate it.. still i do so love this drawing! ME CRUSH!

yet another drawing i did at my last place of employment, and yeah, it was all in pen as well.. this creature i do actually have a back story for and lengthy plans to utilise this race in furture book(s), if i get the chance.. hope youlike em, and now that i think of it, i should draw up some more monsters... i is lovin me monsters!!!!!!

i drew this one at my last place of employment completely with a biro-pen.. i have no idea how to use this creature in my book, but it looks wicked cool anyways!

2008-11-12 [Jeccabee]: I've only used my left hand as reference...mainly cause there were no mirrors around...but it does get confusing if I'm trying to draw a left hand (since it's backwards on the page....does that make sence?) yeah.... >_>

2008-11-14 [jaraden]: YOU are absolutly correct tigerwitch.. in that drawing (and i must say it is an old one) i was having tons o ftrouble with said hand, in the end i sourced it off a friend, only after i had finished it did i realise i had drawn two right hands... DOH!!!

2008-11-14 [jaraden]: you wouldn't imagine how often i force someone nearby to pose or offer up body parts so i can draw something specific, haven't needed to lately, but it is quite amusing...

still drawing from life is so much help!

I assumed the back arm was mold/warp/constructed into the weaon he is waving back and over his head and the arm was foreshorten to the point we dont see it...

that seems to be the 'logical' place for his arm with that pose... and I 'saw' the thing at his back as being enviroment... (never paid it much attention)

now that i look at it again it looks like he has three arms... damn demons not conforming to 'normality'!!! lol

2008-11-15 [jaraden]: thanks moira... always could count on your keen eyes and observations.. love the critique though! i had actually filed this drawing away along with some of the other more ancient of drawings, but i got it out JUST cause i made such a glaring error.. kinda poking fun at myself..

2008-11-15 [moira hawthorne]: yesyes makin fun of myself is a olf habit of mine aswell... and well you could easily correct it.... change the incorrect arm growing out of his back into the eniviroment... and make his arm the one holding the huge blade back over his head

2008-11-18 [jaraden]: could do that, but to be honest, i rather like leaving it as is, reminds me i ain't even close to perfect.. as long as i know i can make a huge mistake like that it makes me more vigilant when it comes to drawing other things... haven't made that mistake since...

2008-11-18 [Jeccabee]: I hate that word...snippy! My co-worker/superviser says I get snippy. I say something with a little attitude or try to defend myself and she says I'm getting snippy. She says something with attitude and she's being assertive! It's annoying! I'm not trying to be snippy and I dont think I am...I'm just either defending something I did or maybe just random complaining...which EVERYBODY does.

2008-11-21 [moira hawthorne]: no it isnt! the females are dominant in the cat world! a stud knows better than cross a queen... she will rip his eyes out... males only boss other males around... but cats dont normally live together in the wild... only lions... and than its all related females with the biggest boytoy they can attract to their pride
